AdzucaTs recommendations: the graph map of father Vincent Tosca from 1704 in scale model has been recovered by the current director of the MUVIM, Rafa Company, and materialized in its day with thousands of wooden houses and other plastic materials on a surface at least 24 square meters. The location is in the hall master of the MUVIM (C / Quevedo, 10 46001 Valencia).
Vicente Herráiz and Lucas Gómez are the authors of this marvel of work which is carved and painted by hand, examined minutely at the level of scale 1:500, and that shows in the Museum since last Tuesday, July 12. The model not only has faithfully reproduced the plane of an historical city of intramuros (inside the walls) as it was Valencia with its unparalleled number of convents, streets and squares that books and other graphic materials confirme us, but also the extramuros (part outside the walls), with several monasteries in its belt and thousands of trees expanded by certain points of the platform as it is the case of the Alameda (poplar grove).
Until 1738 this work is not printed or is published in map reduced or engrabed as it we know today spreadly speaking. Deceased father (Tomas) Vicente – congregation of San Felipe Neri´s order – Tosca, the plane went through the printing. Tosca, famous architect and author of this great cartographic work from the beginning of the 18th century in Valencia City, was the one who designed the façade of Santo Tomás and San Felipe Neri of Valencia or designed the portal of the Real bridge. Today the map of the father Tosca as is commonly known, is located in the Museum historical municipal of the Town Hall of VLC.
